As part of Ain Shams University’s commitment to supporting the role of youth in community service and promoting a culture of awareness and positive participation, the Community Observatory continues its efforts to monitor various social phenomena and community issues, transforming observation and understanding into practical steps that contribute to supporting society and achieving sustainable development.
This initiative is held under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University; Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs; Prof. Rami Maher, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; Dr. Amal Emam, Executive Director of the Egyptian Red Crescent; and Prof. Gehan Ragab, Supervisor of the Community Observatory.
In cooperation with the Egyptian Red Crescent, the Community Observatory at Ain Shams University works on monitoring and analyzing social phenomena within the university environment and the surrounding community, helping to better understand social and behavioral challenges with greater awareness and realism.
The Observatory also seeks to encourage students to engage in various community issues and develop a spirit of initiative and volunteerism through participation in community monitoring activities, awareness campaigns, and humanitarian initiatives.
The Observatory believes that change begins with conscious observation, followed by deep understanding, ultimately leading to positive action capable of creating a real impact within society.
