Within the framework of the keenness of the General Command of the Armed Forces to build bridges of communication with Egyptian university students and raise the spirit of loyalty and belonging among students, and in the interest of Ain Shams University to raise the cultural and scientific level and educate its students in various fields of knowledge, the People’s and Military Defense Forces organized under the leadership of Major General Walid Hamed Al Hamaki, Commander of the Defense Forces Popular and military and in cooperation with Ain Shams University, under the auspices of Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of the University and Prof. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, under the supervision of Colonel Staff Officer Ahmed Fahmy, Director of the Department of Military Education at Ain Shams University, and the presence of Mr. Amr Essam, General Coordinator of the Department of Military Education at the university, the students' visit to the Military Museum.

         
   
         

The visit stems from enhancing the spirit of joint cooperation and emphasizing the importance of the Egyptian military heritage. A delegation of university students visited the Military Museum with the aim of viewing the military exhibits that embody national championships and events in the country.

During the visit, the delegation viewed the various sections of the museum and listened to a detailed explanation of the establishment of the military regime and its stages of development through old documents and manuscripts that highlight the historical military events that the state faced in the past, artifacts and artifacts and the most important military historical figures, in addition to weapons, swords, shields, spears and spears, as well as Wireless devices, military clothing, and historical photographs highlighting old military vehicles and vehicles, and other ancient war tools and collectibles.

It is worth noting that the National Military Museum was established in 1937 in the old Ministry of Defense building on Al-Falaki Street, then moved to a temporary building in Garden City in 1938 until it was moved again to the Haram Palace in Salah El-Din Al-Ayyubi Citadel. It was officially opened in November 1949 and renovated and reopened in 1982. The museum was developed several times after that and opened until 2011, when a project to develop and restore it was started to become a new shrine to be added to the shrines of Salah El-Din Al-Ayyubi Citadel.

At the end of the visit, the university students expressed their thanks and appreciation for the efforts exerted in developing the distinguished Military Museum, which displays military history and its heritage, which contributes to deepening belonging, loyalty and national identity to the homeland
