Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, received Dr. Khaled Abdel Halim, Governor of Qena, to discuss ways of cooperation between the university and the governorate. During the meeting, the two parties exchanged views on enhancing cooperation prospects, serving the local community, and developing society in the governorate.

The meeting was attended by Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Amany Osama, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Amr Shaat, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Sherweit El-Ahmady, Director of International Students and Mobility Office and Representative of the International Relations Sector.
Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the Governor of Qena’s efforts to implement numerous sustainable development projects across diverse fields. He also expressed his commitment to ongoing and fruitful cooperation with the university, emphasizing his commitment to enhancing coordination and cooperation between Ain Shams University and Qena Governorate.
For his part, the Governor of Qena emphasized the importance of the university’s role, given its advanced academic capabilities, in contributing positively to the governorate’s development plans. This, he said, enhances the chances of success for the investment plan’s objectives and contributes to serving the local community and developing the governorate’s society.
