The system will also facilitate monitoring of equipment's technical condition, operational readiness, and compliance with approved coordination standards, as well as tracking periodic maintenance schedules and managing researchers' equipment reservations. This will enhance the efficiency of scientific resource management and promote integration and shared utilization of research capabilities across the University's various sectors.

During the meeting, Prof. Mahmoud Fayez presented the official website ofAin Shams University' and outlined a proposal for developing an integrated digital system for managing and monitoring the University's research equipment and laboratories, entitled "Ain Shams University' Smart Information System for Scientific Equipment and Laboratories."

The meeting also addressed mechanisms for organizing responsibilities related to the management and reservation of scientific equipment through the implementation of an electronic system that automatically sends notifications via email and mobile phones to the designated official or relevant department at each faculty whenever equipment is reserved, ensuring prompt follow-up and efficient management of equipment operations.

In this context, Prof. Amany Osama Kamel emphasized the need to establish a clear and well-structured institutional mechanism, in coordination with faculty deans and vice deans, to precisely define responsibilities according to their respective areas of authority.

As part of the plan, reciprocal field visits will be conducted by committees representing different faculties following the completion of data updates. These visits will involve physically inspecting scientific equipment and verifying its conformity with the registered data and documentation, ensuring the establishment of a comprehensive, up-to-date database that accurately reflects the University's actual scientific capabilities.
