Media personality Dr. Amr El-Leithy was honored at the Faculty of Mass Communication, Ain Shams University, in a ceremony entitled "From One to Millions: Humanitarian Media and Creating Social Impact"

Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Prof. Heba Shaheen, Dean of the Faculty of Media, welcomed the esteemed media figure, Dr. Amr El-Leithy, during a special celebration at the Faculty of Media entitled "From One to Millions... Humanitarian Media and Creating Social Impact," under the patronage of Prof. Rami Maher, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, and in the presence of Prof. Salwa Suleiman, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs. The I-Club team of the Faculty of Media participated in organizing the day and providing press and photographic coverage.

Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Community Service and Environmental Development, welcomed media personality Dr. Amr El-Leithy to the university, praising his prominent role in presenting purposeful developmental media that contributes to building the Egyptian individual. She emphasized her appreciation for his distinguished media career, which has garnered public acclaim.

Prof. Heba Shaheen affirmed the college's commitment to hosting professional figures who serve as exemplary role models for students. She presented Dr. El-Leithy as a beloved and influential figure in the field of humanitarian and developmental media, highlighting his career that blends journalistic, media, and academic work. She noted his roles as Vice President of the University, professor, and presenter of impactful programs such as "One of the People" and "90 Minutes," in addition to his involvement with charitable organizations and his receipt of prestigious international awards, including the UNESCO Prize for Development Media.

         
   
         

This was followed by a welcoming video presentation prepared by students of the I-Club at the Faculty of Mass Communication, showcasing the most prominent works of media personality Dr. Amr El-Leithy, his books, clips from his most famous programs, and the awards and honors he has received.

For his part, Dr. Amr El-Leithy expressed his delight at being present at the Faculty of Mass Communication, Ain Shams University, expressing his deep faith in the new generation. He also praised the faculty's graduates for focusing their graduation projects on humanitarian issues. El-Leithy recounted his journey from directing the film "Raafat El-Haggan" to journalism, then to presenting bold programs such as "Penetration," which discussed sensitive issues like the assassinations file, culminating in the idea for the program "One of the People," which was born in 2008 after an episode about cemetery residents. The program became a voice for the marginalized, not only presenting the problem but also contributing to its solution. This later evolved into major development institutions that contributed to eliminating slums and transforming individual efforts into national projects.

Al-Laithi concluded his remarks by emphasizing that media is "a science, not a game," stressing the importance of adhering to credibility, professional ethics, and moral principles to ensure public respect. He advised young people to keep pace with developments in social media, noting that he is currently focused on developing his skills in short-form video production to share compassionate and beneficial messages. He affirmed that his administrative work has never prevented him from maintaining his "reporter" spirit and going out into the streets to capture the stories of ordinary people, as honesty in representing them is the key to longevity. He believes that the pinnacle of success lies in respecting people and standing up for their genuine causes. A discussion with the students followed, and at the end of the seminar, the prominent media figure, Dr. Amr Al-Laithi, was honored in recognition of his professional and humanitarian contributions.
