Ain Shams University Wins First Place in the 25th Preliminary Session of the "Chinese Bridge" International Competition for 2026

Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, and the Vice Presidents of the University, and in the presence of Prof. Yumna Safwat, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Languages, Prof. Nasser Abdel Aal, Director of the Confucius Institute, Professor Wang Xiaohai, the Chinese Director of the Institute, Prof. Hussein Ibrahim, Dean of the Faculty of Languages ​​and Translation at Misr University for Science and Technology, and a group of professors of Chinese studies in universities, the preliminary competition for the 2026 "Chinese Bridge" International Competition was organized with the participation of 26 contestants from Egyptian universities, including Ain Shams, Cairo, Fayoum, Benha, Luxor, Sadat Academy, Misr University for Science and Technology, the Egyptian Chinese University, Al-Ahram Canadian University, the British University, Horus University, the Higher Institute of Languages ​​and Translation, and others.

         
   
         

Shada Mohamed Maher, a fourth-year student at Ain Shams University, won first place in the competition.

The judging panel announced that ten contestants have advanced to the final competition, which will be held next May at a hotel in Cairo.

It is worth noting that the first and second place winners in the competition will be selected to participate in the final competition held at the African level in Beijing, China, next July.
