In a new achievement added to Ain Shams University's record, Abdel Rahman Adel Atta Mohamed El-Bahrawy, a 2025 graduate of the Information Systems program at the Faculty of Computers and Information, has been officially selected to represent Egypt and Ain Shams University in the Huawei ICT Competition Global Finals, which will be held in China this June.
The student's victory came after a strong competition in one of the world's largest ICT competitions, organized annually by Huawei Technologies to develop technical skills, promote innovation, and facilitate the exchange of experiences among students from around the world.
The Huawei ICT Competition is one of the most prominent international competitions in the fields of cloud computing, networking, computing, and innovation. Hundreds of thousands of students from over 100 countries participate annually, with the support of the UNESCO WorldSkills Academy.
This qualification comes as part of the efforts of the Huawei ICT Academy at the Faculty of Computers and Information, Ain Shams University, under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Rasha Ismail, Dean of the Faculty, and the supervision of Dr. Mona Abdel-Azim, Director of the Faculty's Graduates Unit. The Academy works to qualify students and graduates in modern technology fields and provides training and support for participation in specialized international competitions.
In this context, Prof. Rasha Ismail affirmed that this outstanding global achievement reflects the advanced level of the faculty's students and graduates, and their ability to compete strongly in international forums.
She also emphasized the faculty's continued support for all its students in developing their technical and innovative skills, contributing to the preparation of qualified digital professionals who meet the demands of the global labor market and support the state's directions towards digital transformation and building a knowledge society.
