A renewed vision and ambitious plans… The Board of Directors of the Public Service Center at Ain Shams University outlines a new phase

In a move reflecting Ain Shams University's commitment to strengthening its community role and developing its institutional work system, the Board of Directors of the Public Service Center held its meeting, chaired by Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development and Chair of the Center's Board of Directors, and attended by Prof. Narmin Singer, Director of the Center. The meeting addressed several strategic issues related to improving performance and services, and outlining the Center's future direction.

This meeting was part of the University's efforts to enhance the efficiency of its specialized centers and activate their role in providing training, consulting, and community services that meet the needs of society and keep pace with the requirements of sustainable development.

         
   
         

The meeting was attended by a select group of board members, including Prof. Khaled Hamdi Abdel Rahman, Professor of Civil Law, former Dean of the Faculty of Law and President of Al-Ahram Canadian University, Prof. Mohamed Abdel Aziz Khalifa, Professor of Accounting and Auditing at the Faculty of Business, Dr. Reda Fathi Ahmed, CEO and Managing Director of Watheeq Insurance Company, Dr. Waseem Abdel Halim, Head of the English Language Division, Dr. Ahmed Mustafa Al-Safty, Professor of Economics and Regional Director of Lincoln University Malaysia, Takaful, in addition to Professor Mohamed Ali Al-Mahdi, Secretary of the Center and Acting Secretary of the Council.

Prof. Ghada Farouk affirmed that public service centers are a cornerstone in fulfilling the university's mission to serve the community. She emphasized the importance of adopting modern developmental visions that enhance the quality of services and broaden their reach, thereby contributing to a tangible and sustainable impact.

During the meeting, the council reviewed the center's financial and administrative performance. The minutes of the previous meeting were approved, and the financial report was adopted, in accordance with the principles of good governance and ensuring the efficiency of institutional performance.

The council also discussed several developmental initiatives aimed at modernizing work mechanisms, improving the performance environment, and enhancing the quality of services provided, with a focus on expanding training programs and community activities with a direct impact.

The meeting reviewed the center's future plan, which focuses on diversifying programs and initiatives, building effective partnerships, and developing new pathways that contribute to maximizing the center's role as a link between the university and the needs of the community.

The meeting concluded with an emphasis on the importance of teamwork and the presentation of a number of proposals that would support the development process, thus solidifying the center's position as a leading model in community service and environmental development.
