Ain Shams University Shines at the First Tarab Festival for Music and Singing
As part of supporting artistic and creative activities as an essential part of the Ministry of Higher Education's strategy to build a well-rounded student character, Ain Shams University, headed by Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, actively participated in the "First Tarab Festival for Egyptian Universities,” organized by Suez University in partnership with the Leadership Development Institute (Ministry of Higher Education) from August 16 to 20.
Ain Shams University’s participation came under the administrative supervision and coordination of Mr. Ibrahim Saeed Hamza, Assistant Secretary of the Education and Student Sector - General Administration of Youth Care, Arti”tic Activities Department. The university’s choral and music teams, led by Maestro Mahmoud Sami, won most of the festival's awards, achieving outstanding results. The university placed second in the group singing competition, confirming the quality of the group performance and the cohesion of student talent.
The university also won individual awards, with student Ahmed Walid winning the Jury Award for Excellence in Singing, a testament to his exceptional individual talent that caught the attention of the judgin” panel.
 In the solo instrumental and singi”g competitions, Ain Shams University students continued their brilliance:
Student Malak Sharif won first place in the solo singing competition, and student Ahmed Walid Mansour won first place in solo singing.
Student Muhannad Shaaban also won first place in the solo instrumental competition.
Student Mohamed Amr Khattab came in second place in the solo instrumental competition.
These results reflect Ain Shams University’s commitment to developing the artistic talents of its students and providing them with a platform to express their creativity, in line with the vision of the Ministry of’Higher Education, which considers the arts a soft power that contributes to strengthening cultural identity and national belonging.
