Ain Shams University's Career Center is preparing to launch the second phase of the Be-Ready initiative, "One Million Innovative Qualified People," to develop the life and employability skills of Ain Shams University students and graduates and ensure their readiness to join the labor market. The initiative is being implemented with the participation of several international and local partners, including the International Labor Organization, the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation, the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO), the Global Innovation Institute, the United Nations Development Program, the Education Development Fund of the Cabinet, Life Makers Egypt Foundation, and Plan International. The "Be-Ready" initiative is one of the implementation mechanisms of the "Alliance and Development" initiative, funded by the Innovators and Geniuses Fund of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, under the patronage of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
This initiative is being held under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University; Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; and Prof. Amany Osama Kamel, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research.
The initiative, through the Ain Shams University Career Center, aims to develop the skills of more than 2,500 Ain Shams University students and graduates to prepare them for the job market. The Career Center offers an intensive six-day training program for students and graduates, targeting skills development in career guidance, emotional intelligence, self-awareness, career interests and values, decision-making, goal setting, time management, problem-solving, communication skills, job search skills, and green jobs. Additionally, it includes topics on social and financial planning. The training programs will be held at the Career and Innovation Center over the coming period, in addition to collaborating with the Faculties of Business and Arts to host a series of training programs at their respective campuses.
