Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, and in a move aimed at modernizing the healthcare system, the university announced the launch of a new package of services for faculty staff, employees, and retirees through the activation of a "medication delivery" system to their residences or workplaces.
The university explained that, as part of improving the quality of medical services provided, it has contracted with Woods Pharma (the Youdawi platform) to provide an electronic medication dispensing and delivery service, with this system officially commencing on May 1, 2026.
The university administration confirmed that the new system does not replace existing channels, but rather enhances them. It will continue to work alongside previously contracted pharmacies to ensure flexibility of choice for beneficiaries. These pharmacies are:
Seif Pharmacies
Shereen Pharmacies
The Egyptian Company for Pharmaceutical Trading Pharmacy
Medications will be dispensed directly to beneficiaries through these three pharmacies. For electronic dispensing, dispensing and delivery will be exclusively through the " Youdawi" platform.
To ensure a rapid response, the university has dedicated the hotline number (15005) for direct communication with " Youdawi" to order medications and inquire about shipping and delivery methods. This guarantees that medical services reach the university as quickly and efficiently as possible.
This initiative is part of the vision of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen, President of the University, to develop the social and healthcare services within Ain Shams University and to rely on smart solutions to provide a dignified life for all members of the university community, both academic and administrative.
