Yesterday evening marked the closing of the Ramadan Tournament activities, which included the Five-a-Side Football Competition “Students for Egypt Champions League,” Table Tennis, and PlayStation tournaments, organized by the Students for Egypt Family at Ain Shams University in cooperation with the General Administration of Youth Welfare – Department of Student Families and Unions. The event took place in a distinctive Ramadan atmosphere that witnessed wide student participation and great enthusiasm among the competing teams.

The activities were held under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University; Prof. Rami Maher Ghali, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; with administrative coordination and supervision by Mr. Ibrahim Saeed Hamza, Assistant Secretary of the University for the Education and Student Affairs Sector.
The closing ceremony was attended by Dr. Samar Ragab, Advisor of the Students for Egypt Family, along with the family’s advisors, Ms. Asmaa Khater, Director General of the General Administration of Youth Welfare, Mr. Reyad Al-Awwam, Director of the Department of Student Families and Unions, in addition to a number of university students who participated in the competitions.
This year’s Ramadan tournament witnessed remarkable participation reflecting the level of enthusiasm and engagement among students, with 256 teams competing in the five-a-side football tournament, 32 players participating in the table tennis competition, and 64 players in the PlayStation tournament. The competitions were characterized by high levels of enthusiasm, sportsmanship, and distinguished performance.
At the end of the event, the winning teams were honored and awards were distributed to the top winners, along with recognition for the referees, amid praise for the students’ remarkable enthusiasm throughout the tournament and the positive competitive spirit and commitment to sportsmanship they demonstrated.

The attendees praised the outstanding organizational efforts exerted by the Students for Egypt Family, in cooperation with the General Administration of Youth Welfare, which contributed to the successful organization of the Ramadan tournament in a manner that reflects the vitality of student activities at Ain Shams University.
The Ramadan tournament comes as part of the Education and Student Affairs Sector’s ongoing commitment to supporting diverse student activities, providing a comprehensive university environment that encourages positive participation, helps discover students’ talents, develops their abilities, and promotes teamwork and cooperation, in line with the university’s vision of building an aware and creative generation.
