The Police Academy honored a delegation from Ain Shams University, including students of the “For Egypt” student family and students distinguished for their activities within the University’s Student Union, in recognition of their participation in the first edition of the Coexistence Program for Egyptian university students with Police Academy cadets. The program was organized by the Academy from January 31 to February 5, 2026.
The organization of this program comes within the framework of implementing the directives of political leadership to organize coexistence periods between university students and military colleges, contributing to the enhancement of national awareness, the consolidation of the values of discipline and responsibility, and raising awareness of the role of the state’s security institutions.
The participation of Ain Shams University students took place under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University; Prof. Rami Maher Ghali, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; and with administrative coordination and supervision by Mr. Ibrahim Said Hamza, Assistant Secretary-General of the University for the Education and Student Affairs Sector.
During the honoring ceremony, Major General Dr. Nidal Youssef, Assistant Minister of Interior and President of the Police Academy, and Major General Ibrahim Al-Ramly, Director of the Police Academy, honored the participating students, in the presence of Prof. Ahmed Ragheb, Assistant Minister of Higher Education for Student Affairs; Prof. Karim Hassan Hammam, Advisor to the Minister of Higher Education and Director of the Leadership Preparation Institute; and Dr. Mohamed Abdel Fattah, Vice Director of the Leadership Preparation Institute.
An honorary distinction was also awarded to several Ain Shams University students, namely: student Mohamed Nader Abdel Shakour Hassan from the Faculty of Law, and student Mohamed Tarek Mahmoud Ahmed from the Faculty of Archaeology, in appreciation of their excellence and distinguished performance during the activities of the Coexistence Program.
Student Mohamed Saber Labib, a student at the Faculty of Law, Ain Shams University, delivered a speech on behalf of Ain Shams University students and Egyptian university students, in which he expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi for his generous directives allowing Egyptian university students to participate in coexistence programs with Police Academy cadets. He emphasized the importance of this experience in developing national awareness and deepening the spirit of belonging. He also extended his thanks to the Minister of Interior and the leadership of the Police Academy for their full support, warm reception, excellent organization, and the efforts exerted to ensure the success of the program and the achievement of its national objectives.
The program witnessed active participation from students of the “For Egypt” student family and distinguished Student Union members in several field activities and accommodation programs, contributing to building bridges of communication between university youth and Police Academy cadets and reinforcing concepts of national cohesion and belonging.
The program included a full residential system within the Academy, encompassing accommodation, daily training, educational programs, and full coexistence with Police Academy cadets, with the aim of developing national awareness and gaining insight into security training mechanisms.

The participating students affirmed that the program contributed to raising their level of national awareness, familiarizing them with the nature of security work, and fostering the spirit of discipline and teamwork. They expressed their appreciation for the training and awareness programs that helped them understand the role of state institutions in safeguarding the homeland and maintaining its stability.
