A high-level delegation from Hassan I University in Morocco visits Ain Shams University
In order to strengthen the strategic partnership between educational institutions in Egypt and Morocco, and under the auspices of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Amany Osama Kamel, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, received Prof. Abdel Latif Makram, President of Hassan I University, and his accompanying delegation to discuss avenues for research and academic cooperation between the two universities.
This visit embodies the pivotal role that universities play in serving sustainable development and knowledge transfer, thus serving the shared interests of the academic communities in both brotherly countries.
The visit was attended by Prof. Yassin El-Shazly, Dean of the Faculty of Law at Ain Shams University, and from the Moroccan side, Prof. Hassna Kaji, Dean of the Faculty of Legal and Political Sciences; Prof. Mustafa El-Mesbahi, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Legal and Political Sciences; and Prof. Riad Fakhry, Director of the Business Law Research Laboratory at the Faculty of Legal and Political Sciences.
In this context, Dr. Amany Osama Kamel, Vice President of the University, expressed her pride in visiting Hassan I University, which reflects the depth of the brotherly relations between Egypt and Morocco. She emphasized that the goal of such visits is to create an integrated academic platform that allows for the exchange of experiences and the development of joint educational programs, ensuring that young researchers are equipped with the tools of the times and the challenges of the future. She also expressed her pride in the graduates of Ain Shams University in Morocco, most notably Dr. Riad Fakhry, Director of the Research Laboratory in Business Law at the Faculty of Legal and Political Sciences.
Her Excellency added that the university is moving forward in leading quality education by launching a package of advanced interdisciplinary programs that integrate sustainability and environmental studies, while providing an integrated legal and legislative track, in addition to 13 specialized programs, including programs in integrated water resources management, biodiversity and resource conservation, and 6 leading health programs; with the aim of adapting scientific research to serve national issues and graduating cadres capable of leading sustainable development files in accordance with Egypt’s Vision 2030.
For his part, Prof. Abdel Latif Makram, President of Hassan I University, expressed his delight at visiting Ain Shams University, which represents a prestigious scientific beacon in the Arab region, and that his visit and the delegation accompanying him embodies the sincere desire to extend bridges of research and legal cooperation, believing that the integration of Arab minds is the best way to achieve a comprehensive educational renaissance that serves the Arab community.
He added that, based on our shared history and authentic values, we have a responsibility to strengthen these ties and pass them on to future generations by investing in the development of young people; this is achieved through establishing quality partnerships with Arab universities that open up broad horizons for cooperation in scientific research and innovation projects, thus ensuring the sustainability and development of this relationship.
         
       
         
For his part, Prof. Yassin El Shazly, Dean of the Faculty of Law at Ain Shams University, affirmed that this meeting represents a strategic step towards unifying legal and academic visions between the two countries, noting his aspiration to activate cooperation mechanisms with the Faculty of Legal and Political Sciences at Hassan I University. He explained that the exchange of experiences in the fields of business law and modern legislation will contribute to preparing a generation of legal professionals capable of keeping pace with international developments, stressing that the Faculty of Law is harnessing all its scientific and research capabilities to support this joint academic path, in a way that serves justice and development in our Arab societies.
         
       
         
The delegation had previously toured the Faculty of Law, during which they listened to a detailed explanation of the history of the faculty, its most important programs and departments, accompanied by the Dean of the Faculty and the Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs.
