Ain Shams University participated as an official Platinum Sponsor in the 4th Top Notch Higher Education Forum on 14–15 January 2026, held in Abu Dhabi under the theme “Together for a Promising Future,” sponsored by Sheikh Hamdan bin Khalifa bin Hamdan Al Nahyan.

During the forum, Prof. Rami Maher Ghali, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Education and Student Affairs, emphasized the importance of the event in raising awareness among students and parents. He noted that the forum provides a comprehensive platform for students and parents to explore academic programs and scholarships offered by participating universities, as well as access to academic guidance that helps them choose the right major and university aligned with their abilities and ambitions.

He highlighted that direct interaction between students and university representatives helps students form a clearer vision when making decisions about their future academic paths. He also pointed out that student interests are increasingly gravitating toward modern fields such as renewable energy and artificial intelligence, which are among the disciplines in which Ain Shams University excels.

Prof. Ghali also stressed the importance of educational partnerships between Egypt and the UAE, noting their role in supporting higher education objectives for both Egyptian and international students. He added that Ain Shams University, with its long-standing academic tradition, is participating in this forum in the UAE for the first time, aiming to showcase its distinguished programs for international students, highlighting that the university hosts over 13,000 international students from diverse nationalities.

He presented the university’s key areas of excellence, including the medical sector, which enjoys international partnerships and accreditations; the engineering sector; the computers and information sector, which collaborates with European and UK universities; the business and commerce sector, in partnership with French universities; and the law sector. He affirmed that Ain Shams University continues to expand and develop its academic programs, ensuring university education that meets global standards.

The forum was organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Egypt, the Cultural Affairs and Missions Sector, the Study in Egypt initiative, and the Top Notch Center for Educational Services and University Admissions, with participation from leading universities from the UAE, Egypt, and internationally.

The opening ceremony was attended by H.E. Ambassador Essam Ashour, Egyptian Ambassador to the UAE, along with a high-level Egyptian delegation including Prof. Dr. Ahmed Abdel Ghani, Head of the Central Administration for International Students Affairs and head of the Ministry of Higher Education delegation; Prof. Dr. Saleh Hashem, former President of Ain Shams University and Chair of the Linguistics Sector at the Supreme Council of Universities; and a delegation from Ain Shams University, including Prof. Dr. Dina Lashin, Director of the International Students Office, Dr. Hanan Hindi, Coordinator for International Students at the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences, and Ms. Reham El-Otifi, Director of Education and Student Affairs.
