Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, praised the announcement of the results of the “Alliance and Development” initiative and the signing of agreements for the winning alliances, which were held under the patronage of the President of the Republic and in the presence of the Prime Minister. He emphasized that the initiative represents a practical translation of the state’s policy to support innovation and empower scientific research in service of the Sustainable Development Plan 2030.

His Excellency affirmed that the statements made by Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, regarding the transformation of regional alliances into economic engines for producing technological solutions and creating job opportunities, reflect the state’s commitment to strengthening the knowledge-based economy and enhancing the role of universities in supporting priority development agendas across the governorates.

The University President explained that Ain Shams University is actively participating in several scientific and development alliances, drawing on its strong research expertise, specialized centers, and distinguished academic staff, thereby contributing to transforming innovation into applicable products and services that serve society and the national economy.

He further noted that the participation of 104 alliances and the allocation of EGP 1 billion to support innovation projects in the regions underscore the level of confidence in the ability of national alliances to deliver practical solutions that support the state’s plans and open new horizons for researchers and innovators.
