Ain Shams University, headed by Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen, and Prof. Amany Osama Kamel, Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research, congratulate three of the university’s researchers after they won French government scholarships for the academic year 2025/2026, within the framework of the joint Egyptian-French program implemented by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in cooperation with the French Embassy in Cairo.
This achievement reflects the university's advanced academic standing and its ability to cultivate a generation of researchers capable of competing in leading local and international academic forums.
The scholarships awarded to teaching assistants cover various disciplines within the university, including French language and literature and information systems. The recipients of these scholarships are:
- Sarah Fouad Aboubakr Selim – Department of French Language and Literature – the Faculty of Girls. She received a research and study scholarship at Marie Louis Pasteur University – Besançon.
- Salma Mohamed Mahmoud – Department of French Language and Literature – the Faculty of Girls. She received a research and study scholarship at Lumière University Lyon 2.
- Mohamed Ashraf Ali Hassan – Department of Information Systems – the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences. He received a research and study scholarship at the University of Informatics and Advanced Technologies (EPITA).

Prof. Abdullah Sami, General Supervisor of the Scholarships Welfare Office, noted that these scholarships represent a qualitative leap in the scope and diversity of opportunities available to faculty assistants annually. He added that the office continues its role in supporting researchers and facilitating their participation in international scholarships, pointing out that Egyptian-French cooperation represents an important platform for building renewed research partnerships that support the capabilities of Egyptian researchers.
