Ain Shams University, under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen, has been officially selected to participate in the Presidential Program “Alliance & Development”, following a formal notification from the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Ayman Ashour. The Minister confirmed that the university’s national project has been approved as part of the alliances that will support Egypt’s strategic plans for industrial localization and food security enhancement.

This recognition reflects the high level of confidence placed by the Egyptian state in Ain Shams University and its academic leadership. It also highlights the university’s distinguished role as a national hub of expertise, capable of translating research and innovation into impactful industrial and economic applications that align with Egypt’s development priorities.

The selected project is an integrated multidisciplinary initiative involving the Faculties of Agriculture, Engineering, Commerce, and the Innovation & Training Sector. The project successfully passed advanced evaluation stages to join a national consortium that includes governmental, private, and technological universities, the National Authority for Remote Sensing and Space Sciences, and leading industrial partners.

Prof. Dr. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen stated that this achievement underscores the university’s strong national standing and the ability of its researchers to provide practical solutions that support the Egyptian economy. He emphasized that Ain Shams University has a robust innovation ecosystem, including patents, applied research outputs, and development programs that contribute directly to strengthening local industry.
