The Faculty of Mass Communication at Ain Shams University hosted the renowned media personality Sherif Madkour

Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, and under the supervision of Prof. Heba Shaheen, Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication, and Prof. Salwa Suleiman, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, the Faculty of Mass Communication organized yesterday, Wednesday, November 26, a seminar titled ‘Media and Community Building,’ hosting broadcaster and TV presenter Sherif Madkour. The event was part of the faculty’s cultural and artistic season, aiming to foster effective interaction between students and prominent media personalities, and to provide students with valuable professional experience.

   
   

During an open interactive dialogue, Sherif Madkour shared his insights on new media and the impact of digital development on content and audience behavior, emphasizing the differences in reception patterns across generations and the journalist’s role in keeping up with these changes.

   
   

Madkour also discussed his extensive experience in the media industry, highlighting key milestones in his career and expressing pride in his work with Egyptian television, which he described as having a historic role in shaping societal awareness and remaining the platform closest to and most influential with Egyptian households.

The seminar witnessed active student participation, with attendees eager to learn behind-the-scenes details of producing social and entertainment programs, how to build a genuine connection between media professionals and their audience, and the values that media content should promote today.

Throughout the session, Sherif Madkour engaged with students in a friendly and approachable manner, offering professional advice to the new generation of media practitioners and answering questions about the future of media and television presentation skills for social and entertainment programs.

At the conclusion of the seminar, Prof. Heba Shaheen honored Sherif Madkour in recognition of his distinguished contributions to presenting social and entertainment programs.”
