In a bold step toward advancing scientific innovation and interdisciplinary research, Ain Shams University is preparing to launch a state-of-the-art Nanotechnology Center on its campus. The center is set to serve as a hub for cutting-edge research, industry collaboration, and training in one of the most transformative fields of the 21st century.
The new Nanotechnology Center will bring together researchers, faculty, students, and industry partners to explore nanoscale science and its applications in medicine, energy, materials science, electronics, and environmental sustainability. Equipped with advanced laboratories, cleanroom facilities, and precision instruments, the center aims to support both fundamental research and applied innovation.
“This center reflects our commitment to being at the forefront of scientific progress and national development,” said Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zein Elabedeen, the University President.
“Nanotechnology holds tremendous potential for solving real-world problems, and we are determined to make this facility a regional leader in research and innovation.” said Prof. Amany Osama Kamel, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research.
The Nanotechnology Center will also play a vital role in capacity building by offering specialized training programs, postgraduate studies, and research opportunities for young scientists and students. These efforts align with national strategies for science and technology and contribute to the university’s vision of fostering a knowledge-based economy.
With this initiative, Ain Shams University reaffirms its commitment to equipping future generations with the tools needed to innovate, discover, and transform society.
