A Cooperation Agreement Signed Between Ain Shams University and Ancient Egypt Research Foundation (Association of Egyptian Antiquities Researchers)

Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Mark Leiner, President of the Ancient Egypt Research Foundation (Association of Egyptian Antiquities Researchers), signed a cooperation agreement aimed at enhancing scientific and cultural exchange as well as academic collaboration between both parties.

         
   
         

The signing ceremony was witnessed by Prof. Hossam Tantawy, Dean of the Faculty of Archaeology, and Prof. Mamdouh El-Damaty, Egyptologist, former Minister of Antiquities, and supervisor of the Zafaran Palace Museum.

   
   

The agreement includes practical training for undergraduates, diploma, and master’s students, as well as faculty members. It also covers cooperation in excavation projects, joint research initiatives, organizing workshops and conferences, co-publishing scientific research, and conducting field visits.

Following the signing, attendees visited Zafaran Palace, where they expressed admiration for the palace’s beauty and the high quality of restoration work that has restored its historical splendor.
