As part of Ain Shams University’s leadership in education, scientific research, and innovation, the university officially launches the GEMS-TECH project (Green Maritime Horizons: Collaborative Innovation in Ship Engineering and Sustainable Technologies), funded by the Erasmus+ program of the European Union.
The project's key features / advantages:
- Curriculum modernization to localize green maritime technology and energy efficiency.
- Establishment of a state-of-the-art laboratory complex for the first time at the university:
1- Virtual and Augmented Reality Lab (VR/AR) for green shipping simulation.
2- 3D Printing Lab equipped with the latest global technologies: multi-material, bioprinting, and metal printing.
3- Laser Cutting Lab for ultra-precise engineering model fabrication.
4- Wind Turbines as prototypes for renewable energy systems.
- Strengthening international partnerships with leading universities and research centers across Europe and Africa 🌍.
- Free training programs for students and faculty on cutting-edge technologies in renewable-energy-based shipbuilding.
The project is implemented through the Innovation and Training Sector at Ain Shams University, in collaboration with the Faculty of Engineering.
