The Faculty of Pharmacy launches the twentieth medical convoy to serve the residents of Hadayek El-Qobba neighborhood at El-Waili Girls' Preparatory School
As part of Ain Shams University’s pioneering community role, the Faculty of Pharmacy launched today its twentieth medical convoy to serve the residents of the Hadayek El-Qobba neighborhood. The medical convoy, held at El-Waili Preparatory School for Girls, was held in cooperation with the Faculties of Medicine, Dentistry, and Nursing, as well as the Cairo Governorate.

The convoy’s activities will continue until August 6, 2025. The convoy is under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University; Prof. Ibrahim Saber, Governor of Cairo; Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Prof. Rehab Othman Ahmed, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy; and under the supervision of Prof. Rola Milad Labib, Acting Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development.

The convoy witnessed a large turnout from the area’s residents, as it included clinics in various medical specialties, including internal medicine, orthopedics, obstetrics and gynecology, ophthalmology, pediatrics, ear, nose and throat, and dentistry. A charitable pharmacy was also provided to dispense free medications, measure blood pressure and blood sugar, and provide free laboratory services.

This initiative comes as part of the university’s commitment to providing integrated health services to the most needy areas, in coordination with the Hadayek El-Qobba District Presidency, headed by Mr. Hatem Mahmoud, and the Hadayek El-Qobba Educational Administration, headed by Dr. Nasser El-Gendy.
