The Spanish Language Department at the Faculty of Al-Alsun, Ain Shams University, organized a distinguished Graduation Day celebration under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of the University, Prof. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty, and under the supervision of Prof. Hala Said Metwally, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Rehab Abdel Salam, Head of the Spanish Department. The event was attended by many students, alumni, and distinguished graduates who hold prominent positions in various fields.
The event began with a speech by Prof. Rehab Abdel Salam, Head of the Department, in which she expressed her pride in the department's graduates and their active role in the labor market.
The day featured an innovative video presentation of images from previous batches, processed with artificial intelligence technology to appear in a dynamic format, alongside a short film created by the students about the history of the Faculty of Al-Alsun, reflecting their pride in being part of this prestigious institution.
Additionally, the department's students presented self-composed poems about their love for the faculty, the history of Andalusia, and their nostalgic feelings toward it. The event also included a humorous sketch that highlighted the different dialects of the Spanish language around the world. Furthermore, a video was shown about the opportunities available to graduates of the department in both the local and international job markets.
The event concluded with a panel discussion featuring five distinguished alumni: Ms. Yomna Osama – Deputy Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Ms. Ilham Ramzy, Senior Broadcaster for the Spanish and Latin American radio, Mr. Mohamed Abdel Aal, Certified Trainer at IBM, Mr. Abdel Halim Gamal, Translator and Author, and Ms. Maha Abdel Aty, Official at the Brazilian Embassy. The guests shared their professional experiences, provided advice to students on the skills required in the job market, and answered questions from the students and attendees in a lively discussion.
At the end of the event, certificates of appreciation were distributed to the distinguished alumni guests, as well as recognition for the students who organized the day from the Spanish Department in both the semester and credit-hour systems.
