The scientific conference of the Department of Rheumatology and Immunology recommends the need for cooperation between multiple disciplines to reach the best medical care for patients

The closing activities of the scientific conference of the Department of Rheumatology and Immunology at the Faculty of Medicine, at Ain Shams University, recommended the need for cooperation between rheumatology, immunology and other specialties, as immune diseases are systemic diseases in order to reach the best medical care for patients.

         
   
         

The events were held under the auspices of Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of the University, Prof. Ali Al-Anwar, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Adel Mahmoud, head of the rheumatology department, for four days, from 16 to 19 May.

The first day included a workshop on kinetic sonar, in cooperation with the Egyptian Society of kinetic and nerve sonar, headed by Dr. Adham Abo El-Fotouh, and the workshop explained how to use kinetic sonar in diagnosing the activity of arthritis, as well as the impact of muscles and nerves.

         
   
         

The second day witnessed the activities of three workshops, two of which were for diagnosing and treating arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and autoimmune rheumatoid arthritis, while the third workshop dealt with the use of capillary microscopy to diagnose immune diseases, in the presence of “Professor Marco Mattucci, the Italian scientist in this field.”

Several sessions were also held with other specialties from the departments of ophthalmology, dermatology, and chest at the Faculty of Medicine, in the presence and participation of various universities in the Republic, on Friday and Thursday corresponding to May 18/19. These sessions discussed the latest methods for diagnosing and treating immune diseases.
