Ain Shams University extends its heartfelt congratulations to Prof. Hesham El-Ghazaly, Director of the Egyptian Medical Research Center (MASRI) at the Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University, President of the Egyptian Cancer Society, and Representative of the World Health Organization in Egypt, on receiving the 2026 Global Oncology Ambassador Award, presented by the Worldwide Innovative Networking (WIN) Consortium in Personalized Cancer Medicine during its conference held in Rhode Island, USA, making him the first Egyptian and Arab to receive this prestigious honor.

This achievement recognizes Prof. Hesham El-Ghazaly's outstanding contributions to advancing precision medicine in Egypt through his leadership of the Egyptian Medical Research Center (MASRI), strengthening genomic research capabilities, and promoting training in the latest gene sequencing technologies. His efforts have also focused on integrating molecular tumor alterations with clinical data, contributing to the development of more accurate and personalized approaches to cancer diagnosis and treatment.

His contributions to the Cancer Biobank and Integrated Genomic Solutions Project, along with specialized training programs in genomics and precision medicine, further demonstrate his commitment to advancing applied scientific research, building the capacities of physicians and researchers, and facilitating the translation of cutting-edge scientific discoveries into clinical practice.
