Counselor Hany Hanna, Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, attended the graduation ceremony of the Faculty of Law’s 73rd class at Ain Shams University on Thursday, October 8, 2026, as the guest of honor. Held at the University’s Guest House, the ceremony was attended by Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abdeen, President of Ain Shams University; Prof. Yassin El-Shazly, Dean of the Faculty of Law; and a distinguished gathering of officials, judicial counselors, faculty members, and legal professionals who graduated from the faculty.

During the ceremony, Counselor Hany Hanna, a member of the Faculty of Law’s Class of 1975, received special recognition as the guest of honor and a distinguished alumnus, in appreciation of his career in the judiciary and executive branch, as well as his contributions to the legal profession and public service.

The Minister expressed his profound happiness and pride in receiving this honor, noting that words could hardly capture his emotions as he returned, more than five decades later, to the institution where his academic and professional journey began. He emphasized that the Faculty of Law at Ain Shams University had been far more than a place of study; it was his first home and a lasting source of belonging. It was there that he learned that the practice of law is a noble mission founded on justice and a solemn responsibility dedicated to upholding the truth and serving the nation.

Addressing the new graduates, Counselor Hani Hanna wished them every success in their professional journeys, encouraging them to surpass the achievements of previous generations and make even greater contributions to Egypt. He also urged them to safeguard the unity and resilience of the Egyptian state and serve as a strong line of defense against any attempts to undermine the nation’s stability or threaten its resources and interests.

The Minister concluded by expressing his sincere appreciation to the administration of Ain Shams University, the Faculty of Law, its professors, and alumni. He prayed for the graduates’ continued success and a future filled with achievement and meaningful contributions, expressing his hope that they would always live up to the expectations of their university and their country.
