The seminar also explored the Arab dimension of the October War, emphasizing the values of solidarity, unity, and collective Arab action demonstrated during that period. Dr. El-Shoura highlighted the various forms of support provided by Arab countries and the lessons this experience offers younger generations regarding the importance of unified efforts in overcoming challenges.
The discussion further addressed the post-war period, culminating in the restoration of Taba to Egyptian sovereignty, and the political, diplomatic, and legal efforts that contributed to completing the process of reclaiming Egyptian territory. Dr. El-Shoura emphasized that victory depends not only on military strength but also on determination, strategic planning, institutional coordination, and unwavering commitment to defending national rights.
The seminar concluded by highlighting the enduring lessons of the October victories, particularly determination, planning, discipline, teamwork, resilience, and perseverance in achieving goals. These values extend beyond their historical context, serving as essential foundations for developing individuals capable of addressing present-day challenges and shaping the future.
The event reflects the ongoing efforts of the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences at Ain Shams University and its Community Service and Environmental Development Sector to organize activities that raise students' awareness, strengthen their sense of national belonging, deepen their connection to Egypt's history, and draw inspiration from significant national experiences to develop their critical thinking skills and empower them to shape the future.
