Ain Shams University, in Cooperation with Tahya Misr Fund, launches a Comprehensive Development Convoy to Serve the Communities of Halayeb, Shalateen, and Abu Ramad

In implementation of the directives of H.E. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, to intensify social protection efforts and reach the most vulnerable families across Egypt’s governorates, and as part of Ain Shams University’s leading community role and commitment to supporting the State’s efforts to achieve comprehensive and sustainable development, Ain Shams University, in cooperation with Tahya Misr Fund, is launching a comprehensive development convoy to serve the communities of Halayeb, Shalateen, and Abu Ramad in the Red Sea Governorate from October 11 to 15.

The convoy is held under the patronage of Dr. Waleed Abdel Azim El-Barky, Governor of the Red Sea; Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University; and Mr. Tamer Abdel Fattah, Executive Director of Tahya Misr Fund. The initiative reflects the University’s commitment to extending its services and scientific and community expertise to the areas most in need, while strengthening its contribution to community service and supporting Egyptian citizens.

The convoy’s activities are held under the supervision of Mr. Mohamed El-Gamal, Head of the Central Administration of the University President’s Sector; Mr. Ibrahim Said Hamza, Assistant Secretary-General of the University for the Education and Student Affairs Sector; and a number of Tahya Misr Fund officials, with the participation of specialized teams from the relevant faculties and entities.

The convoy provides an integrated package of medical, awareness, and social services, reflecting the University’s comprehensive approach to community service and leveraging its academic, medical, and research capabilities to serve citizens.

Several Ain Shams University faculties are participating in the convoy, including the Faculties of Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Agriculture, and Mass Communication, alongside Ain Shams University Hospitals, ensuring a diverse and integrated range of services that meets the needs of local communities.

The convoy reflects Ain Shams University’s approach to harnessing its expertise and capabilities to serve the community through comprehensive development convoys extending across various governorates and border areas. This reinforces the University’s mission to advance community development, raise awareness, provide healthcare and social services, and support the most vulnerable groups.
