In a step that reflects the continued development of Egypt’s higher education and scientific research system, the Faculty of Nursing at Ain Shams University has achieved a new international academic milestone under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Sahar Moussa, Dean of the Faculty. For the first time, the Faculty has been included in the 2026 Global Ranking of Academic Subjects (GRAS) by ShanghaiRanking, placing in the 201–300 band worldwide in the field of Nursing.

Prof. Sahar Moussa Soliman, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing at Ain Shams University, expressed her pride in this new global achievement, marked by the Faculty’s first-ever inclusion in the 2026 Global Ranking of Academic Subjects (GRAS) by ShanghaiRanking, where it ranked within the 201–300 band worldwide in the field of Nursing.

Prof. Sahar Moussa explained that this achievement is the result of the support of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abidin, President of the University, and his commitment to global excellence. She noted that he has spared no effort in supporting the Faculty’s academic and research progress and advancing its presence in major international forums.

Prof. Sahar also noted that this distinction was achieved through the concerted efforts of the Faculty’s team, the University’s International Ranking Office, and the Research Liaison Unit. She emphasized that the unwavering support of the University administration was the key driving force behind achieving this advanced position. The Faculty ranked sixth among Egyptian faculties of nursing and third among Ain Shams University’s academic subjects included in the ranking.

In conclusion, Prof. Sahar Moussa dedicated this achievement to the University President and to all faculty members, teaching assistants, researchers, and students. She also pledged to continue working diligently to maintain this international standing and advance Egypt’s nursing education and research system toward broader horizons.
