Ain Shams University Strengthens Its Global Academic Standing with Seven Subjects Ranked in the 2026 Shanghai Global Ranking of Academic Subjects
In a new achievement reflecting Ain Shams University’s growing academic and research presence on the international stage, the University has continued to strengthen its standing in prestigious global rankings. The 2026 Shanghai Global Ranking of Academic Subjects (GRAS) placed Ain Shams University among the world’s ranked institutions in seven scientific and medical subjects.
The University ranked 76–100 globally in Agricultural Sciences and 151–200 in Dentistry & Oral Sciences. It also made its first-ever appearance in Nursing, ranking 201–300 worldwide. In addition, Ain Shams University ranked 301–400 in Mathematics and 401–500 in each of Clinical Medicine, Public Health, and Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences.
This achievement builds on Ain Shams University’s continued presence in the 2026 Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU), where the University maintained its position among the world’s top 800 universities for the fourth consecutive year, ranking 701–800 globally.

In this context, Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen affirmed that Ain Shams University is steadily advancing toward consolidating its position as a research-driven university with a strong global presence through an integrated strategy focused on supporting researchers, enhancing the quality of research outputs, increasing publications in prestigious international journals, and expanding scientific and academic partnerships, thereby contributing to sustainable development goals and the advancement of a knowledge-based economy.
