Ain Shams University’s futsal team continued its campaign at the 12th African University Games “Cairo 2026,” securing a 4–2 victory over Heliopolis University and a 1–1 draw with Galala University.

The team continues its strong run in the group stage and is set to face Benha University in a decisive match as it seeks to secure a place in the semifinals.

This comes as part of Ain Shams University’s participation in the 12th African University Games “Cairo 2026,” represented by the Education and Student Affairs Sector and the General Administration of Youth Welfare, Sports Activities Department. The University’s participation is held under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Rami Maher Ghali, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, with administrative coordination and supervision by Mr. Ibrahim Saeed Hamza, Assistant Secretary-General for the Education and Student Affairs Sector.
