In line with strengthening international academic cooperation, the Dean of the Faculty of Al-Alsun at Ain Shams University receives a delegation from Hanyang University in South Korea to discuss prospects for joint collaboration
Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Yomna Safwat, Dean of the Faculty of Al-Alsun, received a high-level academic delegation from Hanyang University in the Republic of Korea. This visit aligns with the university's strategy to expand its international partnerships and enhance academic and research collaboration with prestigious global universities.
The delegation included Prof. Song Hoon Je and Prof. Kim Young Won. The two sides held a meeting to discuss ways to support cooperation in the fields of education, scientific research, and academic exchange.
The meeting also addressed mechanisms for providing opportunities for students and graduates of the Korean Language Department at the Faculty of Languages to pursue further studies at Hanyang University. This initiative aims to develop academic personnel with international expertise. Furthermore, the possibility of establishing a joint academic degree program between Hanyang University and the Korean Language Department at the Faculty of Al-Alsun was explored.
The two sides also discussed opportunities for launching joint research projects and enhancing collaboration between faculty staff and researchers, aiming to develop the educational and research process and support the exchange of expertise between the two institutions.
Prof. Yumna Safwat affirmed that the Faculty of Al-Alsun continues to expand its network of international partnerships, aligning with Ain Shams University's strategy for the internationalization of higher education. She noted that the collaboration with Hanyang University represents a significant step towards providing outstanding academic and research opportunities for the faculty's students and researchers.
For their part, the members of the Hanyang University delegation expressed their delight at visiting the Faculty of Al-Alsun, praising its distinguished academic standing and affirming their aspiration to build a long-term strategic partnership that contributes to supporting scientific and cultural cooperation between the two sides.
This meeting underscores the Faculty of Al-Alsun at Ain Shams University's commitment to enhancing its international presence and expanding cooperation with global academic institutions. This will positively impact the quality of education and scientific research, and contribute to preparing graduates capable of competing in an international academic and professional environment.
