Ain Shams University confirms that, as part of its immediate response to any emergency, a minor fire broke out in a workers' rest area and storage room belonging to the Nursery Gardens Department, located in a separate area well away from the educational buildings and facilities of the Faculty of Education.

Upon receiving the report, Civil Protection forces promptly arrived at the scene and successfully brought the fire under full control within a very short time, with no injuries or casualties reported, particularly as the incident occurred on an official university holiday and no staff members were present at the site.

According to the preliminary inspection, the fire was limited to some contents of the rest area, including a refrigerator used for food storage, a television set, several wooden chairs, and fiberglass chairs. The fire did not spread to any educational buildings, facilities, laboratories, or other infrastructure belonging to the Faculty.

The competent authorities, represented by the Criminal Investigation Department and the Public Security Directorate, are continuing the necessary procedures to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Ain Shams University extends its sincere appreciation to the Civil Protection Department of the Ministry of Interior and all relevant departments within the Ministry for their swift response and efficient handling of the incident. The University also expresses its gratitude to the University Security Department, the Faculty of Education Security Department, and all parties involved for their professionalism and prompt action. The University confirms that the situation is completely under control and that the incident has had no impact whatsoever on the Faculty's facilities or its operations.
