In the presence of the Vice President of Ain Shams University and a host of art stars, the Education and Student Affairs Sector celebrated the conclusion of the acting workshop and honored the winners of "Ebdaa 14"

In an evening celebrating artistic talent and student creativity, the Education and Student Affairs Sector at Ain Shams University  organized a grand ceremony to conclude the “Inside Action 2026” acting workshop  and honor the students who won prizes at the “Ebdaa 14” festival, organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports under the patronage of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

The ceremony was held under the auspices of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of the University, and Prof. Rami Maher Ghali, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and under the general supervision and coordination of Mr. Ibrahim Saeed Hamza, Assistant Secretary of the University for Education and Student Affairs.

In the presence of Prof. Rehab Othman, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, several faculty vice deans, and center directors, along with a host of prominent figures from the arts, including renowned singer Mohamed Tharwat, actor Hani Ramzy, actress Dalia El Beheiry, actor Nidal El Shafei, director Mohsen Rizk, choreographer and trainer Mostafa Haggag, and choreographer of the Creativity Competition, Menadel Antar, as well as a number of individuals interested in the university's arts scene.

In his address during the celebration, held in the university's main conference hall, Prof. Rami Maher Ghali welcomed the attendees, expressing his appreciation for the participation of this distinguished group of artists, whose presence enriched the event.

Prof. Rami Maher Ghali conveyed the greetings of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen, who was keen to attend, emphasizing the university president's interest in the " Ebdaa " Festival. He noted that the students continue their journey of excellence and creativity, having won a number of the festival's awards at the Egyptian university level for the third consecutive year.

He affirmed that art has been and will remain one of the most important elements of Egypt's soft power, representing a language of awareness and beauty, a voice of national identity, and a civilizational message that expresses the values ​​and culture of society.

He added that throughout its history, Egypt has been a beacon of thought, art, and creativity, producing generations of artists and innovators who have enriched Egyptian and Arab culture. He emphasized that Ain Shams University believes its role extends beyond simply providing academic knowledge; it encompasses building well-rounded students capable of critical thinking, creativity, self-expression, and active participation in serving their community and nation.

The Vice President for Education and Student Affairs affirmed Ain Shams University 's commitment, under the leadership of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen, to supporting student activities and developing talents in various artistic, cultural, and athletic fields. This commitment stems from the university's belief that such activities provide a genuine environment for discovering potential, refining talents, and fostering values ​​of belonging, teamwork, and self-confidence.

He pointed out that the university has given great attention to university theater and various arts, providing theaters, facilities, and training workshops that contribute to preparing a new generation of creative individuals. He noted that Ain Shams University 's theaters witnessed the beginnings of many artists and stars who have become prominent figures in the history of Egyptian and Arab art.

Prof. Rami Maher Ghali explained that the achievements of Ain Shams University  students at the " Ebdaa 14" festival, which has become a true national platform for discovering talents and creating stars, reflect the level of excellence and creativity possessed by the university's students. The university garnered 20 diverse awards, including the Ideal Student Award and first place in poetry. In addition, students in various artistic activities received 12 individual awards, and artistic groups in choral, musical, folk, and specialized theater groups won 6 distinguished awards.

He emphasized that these achievements are not merely numbers, but rather a true testament to the immense effort exerted and the remarkable artistic and creative abilities of Ain Shams University  students, abilities worthy of pride and recognition.

He also explained that the celebration marks the conclusion of the acting workshop held from February 21st to April 28th, with the participation of 173 students from various faculties across the university, culminating in the artistic performance prepared as part of the workshop's activities.

He noted that the workshop featured professional training by a select group of artists and specialists, reflecting the university's commitment to providing a comprehensive artistic experience that contributes to honing students' skills and developing their creative potential.

The Vice President of the University expressed his gratitude and appreciation to all those involved in the artistic and cultural activities, and to everyone who contributed to supporting promising student talents.

He also expressed his delight at the outstanding participation of students with disabilities in the celebration, who were able to win numerous awards. This participation reflects the university's new vision to support people with disabilities and its commitment to their inclusion and the encouragement of their talents and creativity.

He concluded his remarks with a message to the students, urging them to actively participate in student activities, emphasizing their significant role in building a well-rounded student personality.

The celebration, organized by the Education and Students Sector (Ain Shams University  Student Union - Higher Technical Committee), included a speech by director Mohsen Rizk, the acting workshop  trainer, during which he praised the talents that the university possesses, and thanked Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen, President of the University, Prof. Rami Maher Ghali, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, and Mr. Ibrahim Saeed Hamza, Assistant Secretary of the University for the Education and Students Sector, in addition to the General Administration for Youth Welfare, the Department of Artistic Activity, and the University Student Union.

Student Wissam Khaled, President of the University Student Union, delivered a speech, followed by a performance by the university's choir, winners of first place at the Ebdaa 14 Festival, led by Maestro Marwan Qanawi. The university choir, which won third place at the festival, also performed, and student Ahmed Farid Mansour gave a solo violin recital.

The celebration also included a theatrical performance titled "Faces and Masks," the product of an acting workshop  directed by Professor Mohsen Rizk.

At the conclusion of the celebration, Prof. Rami Maher Ghali honored the stars in recognition of their rich artistic careers: the renowned singer Mohamed Tharwat, the actor Hani Ramzi, and the actress Dalia El Beheiry.

The instructors who participated in the acting workshops were also honored: Mr. Mohsen Rizk and choreographer and choreographer Mustafa Haggag.

The ceremony also included honoring the students who won the " Ebdaa " competition, in recognition of their outstanding achievements, which affirmsAin Shams University 's leading role and the excellence of its students on both the creative and cultural levels, in addition to its academic and research excellence.

The students of the acting workshop were also honored in recognition of their efforts and outstanding performances during the training period and artistic presentations. Additionally, the Media Center team of the University Student Union was recognized for its prominent role in media coverage and documentation of student activities.
