Activities of IELTS test workshop at the Faculty of Medicine

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Ashraf Omar, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, and Prof. Dr. Osama Mansour, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Postgraduate Studies and Research Affairs, organized a workshop for the qualification of the "IELTS" test at Ain Shams University, in cooperation with the Graduate Studies Sector of the Faculty of Medicine and the British Council.

The workshop comes within the framework of the development and implementation of training programs that Ain Shams University is witnessing, aimed at developing the skills of faculty members and their assistants, graduate students, and first-stage students, and to achieve the requirements of scholarships and scholarships to study abroad.

         
   
         

Dr. Abdullah Sami, General Supervisor of the Scholarships Welfare Office, announced the importance of these workshops in paying attention to the linguistic level of faculty staff and their assistants in order to compete at the international level and to ensure cooperation with leading international universities in various scientific fields. Then he added, “The interest in training programs is one of the factors that Ain Shams University has distinguished itself as one of the leading universities in the region, which has witnessed development at all levels that makes it compete with international universities.

During the workshop, Dr. Abdullah Sami started talking about the activities of the Scholarships Welfare Office at the university and the services it provides to support faculty members and their assistants at all levels and in all stages of scholarships. Then, he introduced the lecturers and trainers from the British Council.

         
   
         

Mr. Samer Fadel, Director of Business Development at the British Council presented a set of important topics related to the "IELTS" test, represented in an explanation of the various sources and services provided for the test, in addition to a detailed presentation of the universities that accept this test as one of the admission criteria set by international universities to accept postgraduate students.

While Mr. Osama Al-Baili - IELTS test trainer and expert at the British Council tackled the details for a period of more than 3 hours on how to prepare for the exam in its four parts and review the types of common questions in the exam and their practical training, then he provided training programs for students at the Faculty of Medicine.

         
   
         

The attendees praised the importance of the workshop and the information obtained during 4 continuous hours that ended with presenting a large number of questions related to the test in light of the application of all precautionary rules.

Finally, it was announced by Dr. Abdullah Sami that the workshop is part of a series of monthly workshops for the Scholarships Welfare Office at Ain Shams University in cooperation with the British Council. His Excellency indicated the date of the next workshop at the Faculty of Computers and Information in the middle of next March.
