Children from Ain Shams University’s Center for People with Determination Participate in the Egyptian Special Olympics Competition

Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Howaida El-Gebaly, Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies for Childhood, and under the supervision of Prof. Ahmed El-Kahky, Director of the Center for Special Needs Care at the faculty, Ain Shams University took part in the Egyptian Special Olympics competition. The university was represented by a delegation of children from the Center for Special Needs Care at the Faculty of Graduate Studies for Childhood.

         
   
         

The event was organized by Prof. Basem El-Tahamy, National Director of the Egyptian Special Olympics, along with Mr. Amr Mohieddin El-Tahawy, Deputy National Director; Dr. Tarek El-Naggar, Director of Special Olympics Initiatives; Dr. Tarek El-Feki, Director of the Greater Cairo Branch; Dr. Ahmed Sarhan, Director of the Health Program; and Captain Mohamed Sarour, Director of the Schools and Youth Program and Director of the Cairo Branch. The competition was coordinated with clinical psychologist and Technical Director of the Special Olympics competitions, Ms. Ayat Eid.

   
   

Children from the Center for Special Needs Care at Ain Shams University competed in the athletics events. Mohamed Ahmed Abdel Rahman won the gold medal, while:

- Basant Atiya Ahmed

- Ahmed Atiya Ahmed

- Fatma Mohamed Ramadan

- Mohamed Taha Rabie, and

- Omar Ashraf Mostafa received participation certificates.

The competition took place at the Maadi Olympic Center, with the participation and supervision of the Faculty of Graduate Studies for Childhood’s Social Activities team, including Dr. Marwa Bayoumy (Social Activities Coordinator), Mr. Amr Abdel Fattah, and Mr. Osama Mounir.

This participation reflects Ain Shams University’s commitment to supporting and empowering children with determination, promoting their social inclusion through purposeful sports and educational activities that highlight their talents and abilities.
