Ain Shams University’s Education and Student Affairs Sector Organizes Training Program to Support Student Activities in Faculties

As part of Ain Shams University’s commitment to supporting and developing student activities, the Education and Student Affairs Sector organized a training program on Sunday, October 5, 2025, aimed at enhancing student activities across the university’s faculties. The program featured participation from a distinguished group of academic and professional experts specializing in student activities as well as legal and administrative procedures.

The program was attended and presented by:

Prof. Tayea Abdel Latif – Professor Emeritus at the Faculty of Agriculture and former Advisor to the Minister of Higher Education for Student Activities

Prof. Yassin El Shazly – Dean of the Faculty of Law

Mr. Ibrahim Said Hamza – Assistant Secretary-General of the University for Education and Student Affairs

Additionally, Dr. Samar Ragab, Professor at the Faculty of Education and leader of the central “Students for Egypt” family, participated actively.

The program covered mechanisms for coordination and integration between the General Administration of Youth Welfare and the youth welfare departments in various faculties to ensure effective communication. It also addressed educational, administrative, and legal aspects through a detailed explanation of the Student Activities Regulations, aiming to raise the efficiency of administrative staff and enhance legal and administrative awareness among those working in youth welfare at the faculties. This contributes to improving the quality of services provided to students and supports a thriving university activity environment.

Moreover, the program outlined the main features of the university’s plan to activate student activities during the current academic year, emphasizing the importance of unifying procedures across faculties to maximize student benefits and encourage their active participation in various fields.

The program also discussed the main administrative challenges and negative practices that may affect the organization of student events within faculties and hinder ideal joint coordination between the university and the faculties.

The program was implemented today targeting four faculties (Law, Arts, Computers and Information, and Girls), with the attendance of the vice deans of these faculties, directors of youth welfare departments, and their staff, alongside the active presence of the “Students for Egypt” family leaders within these faculties. Additionally, the Director General of the University’s General Administration of Youth Welfare and the Office of Student Unions and Families at the General Administration of Youth Welfare were present. During the session, several practical proposals were discussed to activate student activities and develop on-the-ground operational mechanisms within the faculties.

The university plans to extend this training program to the remaining faculties over the coming weeks according to a predefined schedule, as part of a broader strategy to promote student activity culture, enhance the competence of youth welfare staff, and support the university’s vision of developing a generation that actively contributes to university and community life
