The committee evaluated two documentary films produced under the supervision of Dr. Shereen El-Iraqi and Ms. Esraa Mohamed, Teaching Assistant in the department.
Students presented the documentary "00:00", which explored various essential professions that continue past midnight, such as emergency medical services, drivers, security personnel, gas station workers, and police patrols, highlighting how every profession, both day and night, functions as a cog in the wheel of life.
The second film, "It Is Told That...", showcased the traditional folk art of Shadow Puppetry, tracing its origins in Egypt, its historical development, and its most renowned performers, both past and present, through a dreamlike world of light and shadow.
Mr. Ahmed Safwat expressed his happiness at returning to the Faculty of Communication at Ain Shams University, where he himself graduated from the Department of Communication and Media Sciences. He praised the creativity and solid preparation of the films, particularly in terms of scripting, cinematography, and editing, and offered constructive feedback on aspects such as filming techniques, music selection, and voiceover.
He commended the students for their talent and potential, encouraging them to continue developing their technical skills and to seek ongoing training to keep pace with the dynamic media industry.
