On the afternoon of May 12, 2025, the Faculty of Law at Ain Shams University organized a cultural and awareness event as part of its ongoing student activity program. The event was held under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University; Prof. Mohamed Safi, Dean of the Faculty; Prof. Mohamed El-Shafie, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; Prof. Yassin El-Shazly, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research; and Prof. Dr. Ahmed Dehom, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development.

The event featured a practical simulation presented by students from various years and divisions of the faculty’s Human Rights Society. It aimed to enhance students’ academic and practical understanding of human rights issues in a realistic and engaging format. Prof. Mohamed Safi inaugurated the session by extending his gratitude to the attending vice deans and faculty members, including Prof. Tarek Zaghloul, Head of the Criminal Law Department, Prof. Mahmoud Lotfy, Head of the Private International Law Department, and Prof. Hussein Mahrous, Professor of Islamic Law and Head of the Cultural Committee, along with Dr. Ibrahim Khaled, Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Public International Law and faculty advisor to the society.
He also expressed appreciation to the parents of participating in students for honoring the event with their presence, as well as to a distinguished group of legal advisors and lawyers. Dr. Safi praised the efforts of the students, society members, administrative staff, and workers who contributed to delivering such a distinguished presentation. In his speech, he highlighted the vital role of the Human Rights Society in offering a practical dimension to legal studies and reaffirmed the administration's commitment to supporting student activities under its guidance to deepen both academic and practical understanding.

Following this, Prof. Mohamed El-Shafie expressed his thanks to the attendees and spoke on the importance of cultural activities, emphasizing their core role in reinforcing theoretical studies and narrowing the gap between academic learning and practical application. Prof. Yassin El-Shazly also spoke, thanking the attendees and emphasizing the significance of such activities in equipping students to confront real-world legal challenges, while praising the case selected for the simulation for its relevance and depth.
The performance began in the presence of faculty staff, assistant staff, several students and their families, as well as a distinguished group of lawyers and guest lecturers from the Police Academy. The event concluded with a ceremony honoring the participating students, members of the Human Rights Society, and all those who contributed to producing this impressive and inspiring event, reflecting the faculty’s commitment to encouraging excellence and supporting its students in achieving success and distinction.
