A free workshop entitled “Italian Speaking Skills” at the Faculty of Arts

The Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs Sector at the Faculty of Arts, Ain Shams University, organized a free workshop for students and graduates entitled “Italian Speaking Skills,” under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of the University, Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Prof. Hanan Kamel, Dean of the Faculty, under the supervision of Prof. Hanan Salem, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and coordinated by Dr. Maram Al-Wasimi, Director of the Graduate Follow-up Unit.

The workshop was presented by Dr. Howaida Qenawi, lecturer in the Department of European Civilization, and Dr. Hoda Sayed, lecturer in the Department of European Civilization.

The workshop covered many topics that help students and graduates develop their skills, whether at the speaking or listening level and help them achieve success in their professional lives.

Prof. Hanan Kamel, Dean of the Faculty, confirmed that these courses enhance the availability of job opportunities due to the participating students obtaining certificates indicating that they passed these courses.

For her part, Dr. Howaida Qenawi explained the importance of the basic skills and different methods for speaking well in Italian, as well as the skill of reading, listening, and speaking Italian words of Arabic origin. She also explained to the attendees the most famous tourist and cultural attractions in Italy.

As explained by Dr. Hoda Sayed, a lecturer in the Department of Civilization, explained how to design a CV via email, pointing out the most important sites for teaching the Italian language at all levels, common expressions in daily life, and the Italian street, as well as the correct pronunciation method in Italian.
