The President of Ain Shams University on a visit to Namibia

Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, is visiting the Republic of Namibia, which included his meeting with His Excellency the Vice President of the Republic of Namibia, Mr. Nangolo Mbumba, and His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education, Training and Innovation of the Republic of Namibia, Itah Kandji-Murangi.

During the meeting, aspects of the prospective cooperation between the two sides were discussed to benefit from the expertise of Ain Shams University in many scientific and research disciplines and the academic expertise it possesses with a distinguished international reputation.

The two sides focused on the importance of education and scientific research in achieving sustainable development plans for the continent in accordance with Africa's Agenda 2063.

At the kind invitation of His Excellency Ambassador Wael Lotfi, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Republic of Namibia, Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini participated with the Egyptian Embassy its celebration of the National Day of the Arab Republic of Egypt at its headquarters in the capital, Windhoek, in the presence of a group of ambassadors, members of diplomatic corps and eminent personalities.

Over the course of three days, Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, during his visit to the Republic of Namibia, participates in the Conference of Presidents of African Universities in its 82nd edition, under the title "Promoting Excellence in African Higher Education", and the conference seeks to focus strongly on excellence and successful initiatives in African higher education. The conference that was launched continues Its activities this morning until the 7th of July.
