Ain Shams University Board honors the President's Advisor for Health Affairs and the Ministers of Health and Higher Education

In its session held on Monday, 6/26/2023, the Ain Shams University Council honored three sons and leaders of the university who held high positions in the state, out of respect and appreciation for the great journey of giving that they presented to our dear homeland and Ain Shams University.

They are:

- Prof. Dr. Mohamed Awad Tag El-Din, Advisor to the President of the Republic for Health and Prevention Affairs, the current Minister of Health and Population, and the former President of Ain Shams University.

- Prof. Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, the current Minister of Health and Population, the former Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the former Vice President of Ain Shams University for Graduate Studies and Research.

- Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, current Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and former Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University.

Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University, presented them with the shield of honor, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Abdel-Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Ghada Farouk, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Zaki Badr, former president of Ain Shams University and former minister of education and local development, and members of the university council.

In his speech, Prof. Muhammad Awad Tag El-Din, that the university is currently witnessing a great development in all fields and a boom in achievements under a conscious administration with a distinguished, high-level performance, praising the performance of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini, who is characterized by enthusiasm, honesty, honesty, and conquering bureaucracy to achieve unprecedented achievements in the university.

He added that the university possesses great capabilities that can help in the advancement of Egypt, despite the difficult circumstances the country is going through.

The President’s Adviser for Health and Prevention Affairs also touched on his journey at Ain Shams University since he was a student, through his holding of several positions to the presidency of the university, stressing that everyone who assumed leadership in the university added to it.

Prof. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population, praised the march of the university's achievements under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini, pointing out that the developments witnessed by the university were characterized by a touch of taste and sophistication felt by those who visit the university.

His Excellency the Minister of Health also touched on the role played by Ain Shams University hospitals during the Corona pandemic, praising the cooperation of the university president, as Al-Obour Hospital was one of the first university hospitals to receive cases of infection and succeeded in saving many lives at that time, and after Al-Obour Hospital The field hospital was opened in record time.

For his part, Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini expressed his happiness at honoring three of the university's students who have a journey of giving to serve the country and the university, stressing that Ain Shams University over the decades produced many scholars who assumed leadership positions inside and outside Egypt.
