Accreditation of three faculties at Ain Shams University: The Faculty of Nursing, programs of the Faculty of Al-Alsun, and the Faculty of Specific Education

The National Authority for Education Quality Assurance and Accreditation issued its decision on 6/21/2023, accrediting the Faculty of Nursing at Ain Shams University, and accrediting programs in the Faculties of Al-Alsun and Specific Education.

On this occasion, the deans of the faculties of Nursing, Al-Alsun, and Specific Education extend their thanks and appreciation to Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of the University, and the deputies. They also extend their thanks and appreciation to the directors of the quality unit in the three faculties, heads of departments, coordinators of programs and departments, members of the faculty staff, the teaching assistants, the administrative staff, and students for their efforts toward this great achievement.

Prof. Sahar Moussa, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, at Ain Shams University, stated that this is the third time in a row that the faculty has been accredited, as the first accreditation was in 2011, and the second in 2017, and the accreditation decision was issued for the third time in a row in June 2023.

For her part, Professor. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty of Al-Alsun, at Ain Shams University, stated that five programs in the faculty were approved by the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation in the session that was held on June 21, 2023, where the Bachelor of Al-Alsun program in French Language and Literature, the Bachelor of Al-Alsun program in Czech Language and Literature, Bachelor of Al-Alsun Program in Arabic Language and Literature, Bachelor of Al-Alsun Program in Chinese Language and Literature, and Bachelor of Specialized Translation Program in the Chinese Language with the credit hour system.

She added that four programs had already been accredited at the college on May 2, 2023, which are the Bachelor’s program in Italian language and literature, the Bachelor of Languages program in Spanish language and literature, the Bachelor of Languages program in English language and literature, and the Bachelor of Translation and Interpretation program, Translation Division, or the Interpretation Division of the English Language Department with the credit hour system, this brings the number of accredited programs in the faculty to nine.

Prof. Osama El-Sayed, Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education, stated that the National Authority for Quality Assurance of Education and Accreditation issued its decision on 6-21-2023 to accredit the programs of the Faculty of Specific Education as follows:

- Accreditation of the Bachelor of Specific Education program, majoring in educational media, school theatre.

- Accreditation of the Bachelor of Specific Education program, specializing in educational media, journalism, radio, and television.

- Accreditation of the Bachelor of Specific Education program, majoring in Home Economics

- Accreditation of the Bachelor of Specific Education program, majoring in educational technology, Education Technology Specialist Division.

- Accreditation of the Bachelor of Specific Education program, specializing in art education, special education.

The Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education added that two programs had already been accredited at the Faculty on February 9, 2022, namely the “General Musical Education” program, and the “General Art Education” program, bringing the number of accredited programs in the Faculty to seven programs.
