Today… the activities of the international training workshop for spine surgeries launched at the Faculty of Medicine

Today, the activities of the international training workshop for spine surgeries are launched, which are held annually under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Mohamed Fathi Saoud, Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University and Vice President for Education and Student Affairs.

The training workshop for spine surgeries is held in cooperation between the Faculty of Medicine – at Ain Shams University, the Egyptian Orthopedic Society, and the International Society for Spine Surgery

Under the supervision of:

Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Mohamed Fathi Saoud, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Education and Student Affairs - Professor of Orthopedics and Spine at the Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University - Former and Honorary President of the International Society of Spine Surgery and Prof. Dr. Magdy Gamal Abdel Qader, Head of the Spinal Surgery Unit - at the Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University, and Prof. Dr. Paulo Pereira, current President of the World Society of Spine Surgery - University of Porto and prof. Dr. Andrew Wakefield Professor of Spine Surgery at Harvard University - USA.

The international workshop is being held to train 30 young spine surgeons in Egypt and resident physicians in the spine unit, Department of Orthopedics, at the Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University, on spine surgeries, to graduate a safe surgeon for himself and the patient.

The course is held under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Dr. Ali Al-Anwar, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hospitals, in full cooperation with Prof. Dr. Hala Sweed and Faculty of Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development.
