The Minister of Higher Education issues a decision to deputize Dr. Diaa Khalil, Executive Director of the Innovators Support Fund

Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, issued a decision to deputize Dr. Diaa Khalil, Professor of Photonics at the Faculty of Engineering, at Ain Shams University, for the position of Executive Director of the Innovators Support Fund.

The Minister expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to Dr. Mohamed Amer, former Executive Director of the Innovators Support Fund, for his distinguished efforts and giving during his tenure in charge (October 2020 to April 2023), wishing him continued success.

It is worth noting that Dr. Diaa Khalil obtained a Ph.D. from INPG France in 1993, majoring in electronics and communications engineering, and his exact specialization is the science of optical communications.

Also, Dr. Diaa Khalil has a career spanning 35 years of experience in micro photonics systems, including integrated optoelectronics and microelectromechanical systems technology.

And Dr. Diaa Khalil received the State Appreciation Award and was ranked among the top 2% of scientists worldwide in terms of reference influence, according to a Stanford University study published by the Elsevier Database.
