The Cultural Committee of the Student Union of Al-Alsun Faculty, Ain Shams University, organized an open meeting with Prof. Dr. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Matini, President of the University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty, and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Nasser Abdel Aal, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Shaima Mahmoud Awad, Advisor to the Cultural Committee of the Faculty Students' Union, Prof. Abeer Omran, supervisor of the committee, sponsored by the faculty youth.

During the family meeting that brought together Faculty students from different teams with the Faculty administration, Prof. Dr. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty, said that opening direct channels of communication with students is a window from which the administration sees the students' problems from their point of view, in order to find out the mechanisms for solving them in a way that achieves the general interest of the educational institution and advances it.

         
   
         

She went on to point out that the management of human and material resources for the leadership in the institution is the most important pillar through which the dean can determine the possibility of achieving an ambition and applying the method of his management of the faculty. Total dependence on the state budget to relieve the burden on the state budget and achieve the state’s strategic vision for sustainable development 2030. It aimed to secure the faculty’s needs and requirements to serve the educational process and upgrade all its sectors to provide the best services to support the main objective of the educational process’s outputs in all its aspects.

She continued her speech, stressing that the development of new specialized programs contributes to the preparation of human cadres of distinguished competence to meet the requirements of the labor market. That was the main idea of creating these programs.

In addition, those programs with expenses were one of the most important sources of strengthening the faculty's income to achieve a budget capable of developing the faculty's infrastructure completely in order to serve the students of the semester system and the credit hour system in parallel.

She emphasized that the idea of ​​developing advanced programs necessitated the establishment of new halls of the latest international style to provide educational services that keep pace with the labor market for Egyptian and foreign students of the faculty. The university administration supported the idea of ​​the project with all available means of support, headed by Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University, and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Hesham Tamraz, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs, in cooperation with the University's Engineering Consultation Center headed by Prof. Dr. Yasser Megahed, Director of the Center, and the supervision of Dr. Ayman Farid came in record time within 45 days during the new Corona pandemic, from the establishment of 19 classrooms equipped with the latest educational technologies in the world, to accommodate new students with credit hour programs starting from the first semester of the academic year 2021-2022.

         
   
         

He explained that the work did not stop there to increase the financial resources of the faculty, so the university administration supported the faculty to establish three electronic halls of the latest international style, aimed at conducting electronic exams, and indeed it was accomplished in cooperation with the University’s Engineering Consultation Center in less than three months and providing them with the latest technological devices It has a capacity to serve 759 students, and has been linked to the servers of the Ministry of Higher Education to become a beacon to attract international educational institutions to take their exams in those halls.

This resulted in the holding of the Japanese language proficiency exam, hosting the exams for the entire Nursing Faculty, in addition to holding exams for the Semitic Languages ​​section of the Hebrew language section in it, in addition to making a number of preliminary agreements with other international institutions such as the British Council and the Russian Cultural Center in Cairo to hold IELTS exams. Electronic examination halls at the Faculty of Al-Alsun.

She pointed out that these proactive steps to secure additional sources of income for the faculty, enabled it to provide financial resources capable of developing the infrastructure of the faculty and carrying out comprehensive reforms that expanded to develop the water drainage network and solve the problem of the faculty drowning that was almost exposed to it during the hurricanes that struck the country during the previous two years, In addition to completing a contract with the largest company in the world to change the faculty’s electricity generators after they were dilapidated, work is also underway to create a place to accommodate faculty students to provide room for their breathing and spend their free time between their lectures in the latest style.

She continued her speech, referring to the management of the Corona crisis, which required high flexibility to deal with the repercussions of the crisis, as a huge electronic platform was created to serve the educational process, in addition to the successful implementation of the university administration's instructions to announce and correct the results electronically.

She stressed that these successes achieved by the faculty are the fruits of the effort exerted in cooperation and integration among all members of the faculty administration, the heads of departments, the members of the teaching staff and the supporting staff, under difficult circumstances, to turn the ordeal into a grant, with the aim of providing the best educational services to the students of the faculty at its various stages and also achieving the principle of equal opportunities. Between students of the semester system and the credit hour system.

She announced the establishment of a complaints fund designed by the students of the Union and suspended in various parts of the Faculty to receive complaints and suggestions from students, provided that a clear system for Fatah is established by a higher committee headed by the dean and under the supervision of the Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, to constantly examine complaints, and stressed that any innovative idea contributes to Solve any problems or beautify the Faculty that the students will raise that are feasible on the ground and will be implemented quickly, and stressed that the Faculty administration spares no effort in creating an atmosphere suitable for the educational process with all its derivatives for students.

During the meeting, Dr. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty, referred directly to the students' problems and demands to find out the mechanisms for solving them quickly, and promised to continue holding direct meetings with students to listen to them without a mediator.

In conclusion, Dr. Shaima Awad, the advisor to the Cultural Committee of the Students’ Union, handed over to the Dean a shield and a certificate of appreciation, for her contributions and her role in advancing the educational process in an outstanding manner.
