The event was attended by a high-level audience including several state leaders and prominent religious, executive, and judicial figures, honoring the legacy of the late Counselor Hesham Barakat, the former Attorney General, and recognizing his national contributions.

The master's thesis, titled "The Impact of Economic Dimensions on Environmental Crime Rates (A Comparative Study)," was defended at the Faculty of Law, under joint supervision of the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Environmental Research at Ain Shams University.
The supervisory and examining committee consisted of:
- Prof. Mustafa Fahmy El-Gohary, Professor of Criminal Law, the Faculty of Law, Ain Shams University (Principal Supervisor and Examiner).
- Prof. Omar Mohamed Abdel-Hamid Salman, Professor of Economics and Former Dean of the Faculty of Business, Helwan University (Examiner).
- Prof. Magdy Mohamed Yousry Ahmed Mustafa El-Kharboutly, Professor of Economics and Public Finance, Misr Academy (Supervisor and Examiner).
- Counselor Dr. Tarek Mohamed Abdelkader Abdullah, Head of the Commissioners Authority at the Supreme Constitutional Court (Examiner).
The thesis addressed the impact of economic variables on environmental crime rates, considering relevant legislative and judicial dimensions, with a comparative analysis aimed at supporting legal mechanisms for environmental protection.
The judging and discussion committee commended the scholarly effort invested in the thesis, for which the researcher was awarded a master’s degree.
