Assigning Prof. Dr. Muhammad Safi as Dean of the Faculty of Law

Prof. Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, announced the issuance of the republican decision appointing Prof. Dr. Muhammad Safi Youssef Muhammad as Dean of the Faculty of Law at Ain Shams University for a period of three years.

Prof. Dr. Mohamed Safi graduated from the Faculty of Law, Ain Shams University in 1993, and was appointed as a teaching assistant in the Department of Public International Law immediately after his graduation. He obtained a master’s degree in 1995, and a doctorate in 2001 from the University of Paris (10) in France with the rank of “Very honorable with the congratulations of the Committee Arbitration and a recommendation to publish the thesis without modification.” He was included in the academic work of the college until he held the rank of “Professor Doctor” in 2011.

His Excellency has many publications and scientific research published on various topics of public international law and the law of international organizations, which qualified him for the Ain Shams University Award for Excellent Research in 2005 AD, and the State Incentive Award in Legal Sciences in 2007 AD. He was a member of the Permanent Scientific Committee for the Promotion of Professors and Associate Professors in International Law in its current session (2019-2022 AD), and membership of the editorial board of prestigious scientific journals, including the Journal of King Saud University in Saudi Arabia, and the International Journal of Jurisprudence, Judiciary and Legislation issued by the Judges Club of Egypt.

His Excellency has held several university positions, including the presidency of the Department of Public International Law at the Faculty of Law, Ain Shams University, the Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research, the Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, the presidency of the Standing Committee of the Council for Education and Student Affairs at the university, and a legal advisor to many state bodies and institutions, including Theodor Bilharz Research Institute, the Atomic Energy Authority, the Nuclear Materials Authority, the Egyptian Petroleum Research Institute, the National Planning Institute, representing the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in some meetings of the National Committee for International Humanitarian Law, and serving as a member of the General Controls and Legislation Division of the Academic Research Ethics Research Council of the Academy Scientific Research in the Ministry.
