In support of promoting and advancing the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in education, and under the patronage of Prof. Amany Osama Kamel, Ain Shams University announces, based on a circular from the Secretariat of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the opening of nominations for the UNESCO – King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa Prize for the Use of ICT in Education 2026.
The prize is awarded with a value of USD 25,000 and is held this year under the theme: “Reimagining Creativity and Critical Thinking through Artificial Intelligence.”
This edition of the prize targets projects and initiatives that demonstrate how teachers and learners engage with artificial intelligence systems while preserving and enhancing their capacities for critical thinking, discernment, and creativity.

Summary of the submitted project
A copy of the completed online application form
Proof that the project has been implemented and ongoing for at least one year
Declaration that the project has not received funding from UNESCO
Confirmation that any digital tools used (if applicable) are freely accessible with no restrictions
